The Scuba Crew 380 has been reactivated! (It used to be Exploring Post 380 for many years.)

Any young female or male, ages 14-20, is invited to attend the informational / recruitment night for the newest Golden Eagle District Venturing Crew focused on acquatics!

Thursday, March 20th, 2008

• 6 - 7 p.m. Information / How to Join / Crew Goals & Objectives
• 7 - 9 p.m. Bring your bathing suit & actually try snorkeling & Scuba diving!
• Downtown Muncie YMCA
• Cost to join crew: $10.00 per Venturer (unless already registered as a Boy Scout in another district troop)

Boy Scout Leaders - please announce this opportunity to your registered Boy Scouts who are at least 14 years old. This could be a great opportunity for them!

Troop 60 is honored to present Matt Garringer, Eagle Scout. Matt Garringer’s Eagle Court of Honor was held on Sunday, March 2nd, 2008 in Farmland, Indiana.

Troop 60 held their Court of Honor at the Monroe Central High School Millennium Room on Sunday February 17th. Troop 60 recognized their scouts for advancements earned recently including rank advancements and merit badges. Here are some scenes from the event:

Reminders:

• Make sure to bring $1 dues to Monday meetings. This money goes towards purchasing badges and food for events like the Court of Honor.
• Bring your Scout Book and Folder to every Monday meeting.

• A list of Merit Badges you’d like to work on in the Spring. 3 fun ones and 3 Eagle required.
• A list of “Fun Night” activities for review.

Don’t forget to RSVP for Matthew Garringer’s Eagle Scout Ceremony. We will need a count for those Scouts wishing to go to “Climb Time” ($15 for the event). Finally, do not forget about recharter. $15 is due for each Scout next week for recharter. Please let Frank know if recharter dues need to be deducted from your account.

Also, we will be electing new officers for the Troop. Be there!

Troop 60 is organizing a outing to “Climb Time” in Indianapolis on Saturday, February 23rd. Stay tuned for more details.

Please note that the Eagle Scout Court of Honor for Matthew Garringer will take place March 2, 2008 at 2pm at the Christian School Youth Center located at 204 E. Henry Street in Farmland.

The Troop 60 Court of Honor will take place Sunday, February 17th at 4:30pm at the Millennium Room at the Monroe Central High School. Please plan to attend so your Scout will have the opportunity to be recognized for his advancements and honors.
