BSA Troop 60 :: Boy Scout Troop of Farmland and Parker City, Randolph County, Indiana

The Boy Scout 2009 Winter Camporee will take place at Camp Redwing in Selma this weekend starting Friday night, Jan. 30th through Sunday, Feb. 1st. Musher’s will guide their teams over the frozen tundra of Camp Redwing competing for awards and recognition. Each team will be tested on their winter survival skills as they race through the “towns” and “villages” of Camp Redwing, just like the old runners of the Iditarod!

Troop 60 has scheduled our next Court of Honor on Sunday, Febuary 22nd at 4pm. The location will be announced soon. If you are a parent of one of our Boy Scouts, please make every effort to be present. This is a great opportunity to connect with scouting. Most likely, your son will be awarded advancements or merit badges during this event.

The Muncie Scout Office is OPEN at the new location.

New location at 3400 E. Jackson Street, St Road 32 East, Muncie.

Look for the Log Building across from CVS (North side of highway). New signs are being made. Stop by the new office and check it out. It is fantastic.

Troop 60 will be participating in Winter Camporee to be held at Camp Redwing January 30th-Feburary 1st. Our own Frank Turner is the “big dawg” of the event and it’s sure to be fun. There will be plenty of activities to keep us warm.

PACK FOR WINTER: lots of layers, warm clothes, plenty of socks.

Firecrafter lock-in: Friday, January 23rd from 7-11 pm at the Muncie downtown YMCA. Anyone with a Firecrafter rank can attend this fun-filled evening of pizza and swimming.
