The Boys Scouts of America and the Academy of Model Aeronautics have teamed up for the Crossroads of America Council Fall 2006 Camporee: Mission Radio Control.
The Camporee is planned for October 13-15, 2006, and the weekend event is expected to bring several thousand Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts to the International Aeromodeling Center. The Scouts will participate in a variety of hands-on activities such as flying with buddy boxes, operating an RC car, controlling an RC boat, kite making, and build-and-take Sky Streaks.
The Scouts will have the opportunity to watch an LED night-fly spectacle and visit the National Model Aviation Museum. Other activities will include exhibits and displays including show cars, National Aviation Museum displays, an obstacle course, a catapult range, and much more!
NOTE TO SCOUTS and PARENTS: Be prepared to send at least $30.00 with your scout for food and vendor items. It’s going to be a fun weekend, please plan on attending!
Troop 60 will be leaving Friday, Oct. 13th from the Parker City Park at 4:30pm.
